Counseling

Counseling is available to anyone needing to talk to a professional and is not limited to those feeling the effects of addiction. We offer clinical therapy to individuals, couples, and families experiencing:

Psychological Assessment & Evaluation

Psychological assessment can help individuals, couples, and families more clearly identify the problem. This helps focus treatment on the problem and actually speeds recovery and change. This process includes a comprehensive interview, psychological testing and feedback session to review results.  Child custody evaluations are also available.

 

Psychiatric Review

First Step has two consulting Psychiatrists, Dr. Kamal, M.D., and George Paskewitz, M.D.  These physicians work closely with our staff in providing integrated care for clients who are evaluated as needing medical care along with counseling.  This holistic approach is focused at enhancing your entire well-being, both physical and mental.
